Age Group Divisions:
Flag Football: Ages 5-6
Midget Football: Ages 7-8
Junior Football: Ages 9-10
Senior Football: Ages 11-13
Player division is based on age of player on October 1, 2023.
Fort Little League football is governed by the Augusta County Quarterback Club (ACQC).
Proof of age is required by ACQC.
Game Times: Flag 830 am, Seniors 10am, Juniors 12pm, Midgets 2pm Subject to change
All home games are played at the Fort Defiance High School football field.
All Away games we will need 3 people to run Chain gang
- Flag Football: $52 per player (non contact)
- Midget Level: $92 per player 85lb cut off to advance ball
- Junior Level: $92 per player 105lb cut off to advance ball
- Senior Level: $92 per player 125lb to advance ball
- If you are in 7th grade, 13 year old and weigh over 135lb you have to be a stickerX player.
- If you are 8th grade and weigh over 135lbs you have to play JV.
- You must pay full amount by first game or ask for payment plan if not your player will not be able to play until it is payed.
Practices
Practices will be 5 nights a week for the first 2 week then go down to 3 nights a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays for the weeks following. Practices will be 2 hours in length and be held at the VCA ball fields behind the former Verona Elementary School. Location will change once it starts to get dark, we have to move to have lighting.
Flag Football
Practices will start August 1st and run from 6pm-7pm. Flag will do 3 days a week Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
Games
Game schedules are based on number of teams and created by the ACQC. Games will be played on Saturdays. There may be an occasional weeknight for make-ups. Away games may be played at any Augusta County public school and/or any Augusta County facility. Games usually begin in August and run through November.
Cancellations
If we have to cancel due to weather there will be make-up games
Uniforms
Uniforms including helmet, shoulder pads, game pants with pads, and game jersey will be provided. Each player must provide own cleats, mouth piece, chinstrap and there has been a $2.00 increase on registration for pink socks for the month of October, to ensure they are all the same color. It is the player and or parents responsibility to keep up with these socks and have them at every game in October! These socks will be handed out the first practice in October. If we run out of practice gear then player will be responsible for getting that if they choose to. Practice jersey is not needed as they can just wear a T-Shirt over their pads.
Splitting of teams
Any league that has over 44 players will be required per ACQC to split into two teams.
Coaches
There will be up to 7 coaches per team. Head Coaches will be voted in and all Coaches will adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct
